    nginx-cache-purge is part of nginx plus already, free version does not have it

      I don’t believe I stated that the purge module is not part of nginx plus. The free version does have it now. Did you miss this?

        I have a EC2 instance and running nginx, what is the command to add the fastcgi_cache_purge function?

          You only have a couple options since that module can’t be simply added to an existing nginx installation. You can either: compile nginx from source yourself and include the purge module, or you can install the package nginx-extras which has been provided in the Ubuntu distribution since 14.04. I’m sure other distro repo’s have nginx-extras as well you just might need to dig around or add a third party repo/enable community repo’s like on CentOS and RHEL. If anyone else reads this, this was explained in the blueish info box towards the top of this page. I wonder if I should make that more apparent. What do you think?
